(age 96)

British-born film editor who worked almost exclusively under Hal Roach, and was responsible for cutting many of Laurel and Hardy's best short films, though was not restricted to them. He also had a hand in co-editing a few of their best features as well. Many of Bert's efforts were uncredited in the film credits owing to Richard C. Currier, who took top editorial billing.
