American actress, the first of two daughters born to BeBe and Charley Chase and is the niece of James Parrott.  She was nicknamed 'Polly' by her parents.
According to Brian Anthony & Andy Edmonds' book "Smile When The Raindrops Fall", in 1935, at the age of 19, she became the object of desire from Stan Laurel.  Her father, Charley, was less than pleased and warned Laurel to keep his distance from her.  Stan ignored the warning and subsequently received a punch in his face by Charley!
