Cracked Wedding Bells

It's the day of the wedding and the bride (MARIE MOSQUINI) is waiting anxiously with the guests for the groom to show up. Her father (WALLACE HOWE) sends the best man (EDDIE BOLAND) to fetch the groom (SNUB POLLARD) from his home and bring him to the ceremony. Snub arrives at the bride's house and unites with his soon-to-be wife and the service begins. Unfortunately Snub has forgotten to bring the ring with him and has to go back to get it. A laundry man comes to collect Snub's suit from his home and the box with the wedding ring inside falls out. The servant (ERNIE MORRISON) picks it up but does not tell Snub when he arrives back in a panic.
Snub pays Ernie to push his broken car down the street until they hit a kerb, then harrass a passerby carrying clothes before stopping at a policeman directing traffic and assaulting him to get his attention. Snub and Ernie eventually spot the laundry van and the driver and asks for his vest but the ring is not inside. After spotting a jewelry store Snub tells Ernie he is after a ring. At this point Ernie decides to tell Snub he has had the ring all the time and hands it over. Snub rushes back to the wedding with the ring in hand but is too late and finds that his bride got fed up with waiting and marries the best man instead. The father kicks Snub out of the house and after contemplating the situation for a few moments Snub pulls out a gun and tries to shoot himself in the head (and somehow manages to miss?) Ernie comes over to comfort Snub and removes a large wad of banknotes from Snub's pocket. Snub chases him into the street firing his gun!
