| American film producer whose career began to fade slightly in the early 1940s as he neared retirement from the business. Remembered for a tight schedule work ethic, he successfully produced a number of the Laurel & Hardy features made by 20th Century Fox in the 1940s and made the company a decent profit. He later became head of the Fox company's B-unit, before turning to producing independent low-budget features for Fox release. |
