American musician who appeared in a handful of Hal Roach comedies in the early 1930s. A 1924 article has him playing banjo, clarinet and violin, while a 1948 article also notes him singing baritone. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I, reaching the rank of GM3 (Gunner's Mate Third Class Petty Officer). In Los Angeles, June 1927, his 6 year-old daughter was hit by a car and almost killed. She required 4 or 5 months in the hospital. (She was born in Lynndyl, UT in 1920).
At least one source (bet you can't guess which one) wrongly lists his birth & death dates as 1911-1982.
