died: 11 April 2010
Santa Cruz, California,
United States of America
(age 75)

American child actor. He was also known as Robert Morris.

There were 2 unrelated child actors named Roger Morris who acted in public in the early 1940's; both were about the same age. The ANM actor (above) was born and raised in the Los Angeles area: the other Roger Morris was born and raised in the San Francisco area (Palo Alto).
"Our" LA Roger became a recording engineer and went to work for Ampex Electronic Corporation in Redwood City, CA while the Palo Alto Roger stayed with professional play acting, directing and producing in college and New York.
The May of 1942 (Los Angeles) photo of 7 year old Roger with the caption stating that he had received military "captain's bars" from his father stationed away from the family in Utah shows he is the ANM child actor. The non-ANM actor's father (Donald Lambert Morris) had committed suicide in Palo Alto by carbon monoxide poisoning 2 days before Christmas in December of 1941 leaving his ex-wife and 3 children including Roger and his older brother Robert and sister Donna.
Roger's Dad was John Robert (Jack) Morris (1895-1956) who became an IRS agent after graduating college in Utah where he met and married Evelyn Musselman (1904-1994) who also graduated and became a secretary/assistant when they moved to Los Angeles in 1927. According to family history, she played piano, danced, and once worked for Johnny Weismuller (Tarzan) and they were very active socially. Jack enlisted as a US Army Officer at the start of WWII (retired as an Inspector General) and spent a lot of time away from the family.
To quote the family history:
"During the years when Jack was away, Evelyn devoted her life to her children. She made sure they had acting lessons and music lessons. Both Roger and sister Patricia had parts in many movies and commercials. Evelyn was active in the PTA and supported other school activities."
