Young, brunette American actress who acted in films of the 1910s and 1920s, including appearing in some of the earlier films with Harold Lloyd. She was also known as Theresa Dray (her actual first name) and Theresa Claire, and was the younger sister of Clara Dray (a.k.a. Rita Claire). They were the only two children born to Rose Leona (née Johnson, 1875-1946) and Daniel John Dray (1870-1950), the latter a café waiter who later worked as a date man and watchman for movie studios. Both sisters were studio dancers in the 1930 U.S. Census; in the 1940 U.S. Census, Theresa/Loretta is a telephone girl at an apartment house. Both sisters later worked for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation (aircraft company), Theresa/Loretta for 27 years as a clerk and releaseman. Neither sister ever married and lived for over 50 years at 8349 Blackburn Avenue, Los Angeles.
Some sources list her surname as "Drey."
