Ivan Atcher

born: 02 December 1894
Hardin County, Kentucky,
United States of America
died: 22 February 1957
Louisville, Kentucky,
United States of America
(cardiac arrest during surgery, age 62)

American dwarf actor. He mostly lived in his native Kentucky and usually worked regular jobs as a railroad clerk, a bookkeeper, a race track cashier, and a machinist, though at the time he filled out his World War II draft registration card (1942), he was traveling with the Polack Bros. Circus.
Some date and place discrepancies between records: On both of his draft registration cards, he gave his birth date as the 2nd, while his death certificate and headstone give the 12th (DC informant was a sister, Mrs. Louis Spiesberger). His WWI draft registration card (1917) gives his birth place as Vine Grove, Kentucky, while his WWII draft registration card gives it as nearby Elizabethtown; both cities are in Hardin County, which itself is given as his birth place on his death certificate.
He died at General Hospital in Louisville from "cardiac arrest" which "arose during surgery for ureteral calculus." He is buried at Tarpley Cemetery in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
