Inez Courtney

born: 12 October 1897
Amsterdam, New York,
United States of America
died: 05 April 1975
Neptune, New Jersey,
United States of America
(age 77)

Auburn-haired, green-eyed American film actress, formerly in Broadway musicals in the 1920s. Her final film appearance was in Hal Roach's Turnabout in 1940. Married twice.
The commonly given birth date of 12 March 1908 is somewhat understandable, as it's what Inez herself claimed in publicity and on least one 1934 passenger list, at least during her Hollywood years - in effect, shaving 10 years and 5 months off of her true age. Earlier records reveal a circa 1898-99 date. 12 October 1897 is given in the trustworthy Social Security Death Index, while "Oct. 12, ?" is given on a 1948 passenger list; a false "37" is handwritten in the age column.
Real name: Inez Ann Courtney
Height: 5'4"
