Tall American actor. His WWII Draft Card gives his height as 6'3½". His parents were Germans living in London when he was born which resulted in his English citizenship. He played the strongman, Hercules, in the film "Freaks" in 1932.
One source lists his cause of death as a brain tumour, but his death certificate says otherwise. His remains are buried in Oakwood Memorial Cemetery, Charsworth, California.
