Antonio Moreno

died: 15 February 1967

(age 79)

Spanish actor. It has been reported that Moreno recognised the potential in Stan Laurel from a young age when on the set of a Larry Semon film, "Frauds And Frenzies", and that he supposedly remarked that Stan was a better comedian than Semon. This led to Stan being dropped from the final few scenes of that film and was the last time Laurel & Semon worked together. Or so the story goes....
He was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
