Charley Chase's first starring role under contract with Hal Roach comes in this delightful one-reel comedy, working as a realtor.  He is having his shoes shined when a young woman (Blanche Mehaffey) pulls up in a convertible car outside the building.  Seeing her in difficulty when it begins raining hard, Charley jumps down from the shoe-shine seat to help her pull the roof on to her open-top vehicle.  He is instantly attracted to her and the two swap identity cards - both of which are false.  He hands her a card with his boss's name on, and she hands him a card which has her wealthy boss's name on.  Meanwhile, the wealthy dowager (Lyle Tayo) pops into see her fiance, Charley's boss (Westcott Clarke).
Later at work, Charley is all flustered on account of meeting the girl later for dinner, so his boss agrees to dress him up like a millionaire in order to impress her.  Charley and the girl meet, but the boss thinks Charley is meeting up with his woman (on account of the cards mix-up) and goes looking for him armed with a gun.  Charley explains the error to his boss, who excuses him and promptly starts flirting with Charley's girl.  This is seen by the boss's finace, who doesn't take kindly to the situation and chases him down the street.
It's a relatively straightforward plot, but hastily concluded.  Well worth 10 minutes out of your day to have a viewing of it though!
