American actress and dancer, later and better known as Sally Hansen, founder and namesake of the famed nail cosmetics line. She ran a dance studio in the 1920s before taking over her parents' cosmetics business, turning it into the successful House of Hollywood, and writing a regular column, "Your Candid Mirror," for the Los Angeles Times during early-mid 1934, eventually founding her own namesake company in 1946. She was married three times, with her more famous surname being her second husband's. She is buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
