American child actor. Both of his parents were born in "Russia" (now Lithuania). His Dad was a plumber and owned a hardware store in which his only child (Paul) worked. As a child Paul acted on stage and in movies and played the violin. He attended UCLA college for mechanical engineering and entered the US Navy as an officer in WWII and the Navy Reserves after the war. He eventually owned his own building contracting company in Los Angeles. A birth record gives his middle name as Isaiah, but on his World War II draft registration card, he gives it as Josiah (spelled "Jasiah" on his death certificate, per the California Death Index). |
