Orland Bush

born: 19 July 1899
Greenfield, Highland County, Ohio,
United States of America
died: February 1971
Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada,
United States of America
(age 72)

American actor. His brother was James Bush.
About 1912, the Bush family moved from Ohio to Los Angeles. The father, Walter (1868-1954) and oldest son, Edwin (1892-1969) were electricians. By 1915, Edwin was employed as a motion picture cameraman for Selig, his lifelong profession. In 1924, Orland married Lena Webb, a "farm girl" from Kansas while he was employed selling real estate. By 1925 (Kansas State Census), she was back in Kansas and married to a farmer with an infant daughter.
According to LA voter lists, city directories and census's he seems to have had 2 more wives by 1942 but no official records found. In 1940, he was married to a chiropractor's nurse and himself a "purser for a steamship line". In 1942, he was apparently married to a different woman and he owned a restaurant and was a "physio-therapist" in his own practice. His WWII Draft Card says his "left arm is 1" shorter than the right arm and half the size", yet he apparently didn't claim an exemption from service. In 1947, he married Mildred Laura Livingston in Mohave, AZ and they lived in Las Vegas, NV where he worked as a blackjack dealer and they had 3 sons (according to his son, James's family tree at Ancestry.com).
Orland had an uncredited role as a "dealer" in the 1949 (Clark Gable) movie, "Any Number Can Play".
