died: 31 January 1958

(cancer, age 57)

American actress and dancer. On New Year's Eve, 1921, in San Jose, California, she married Carl Jules Weyl (1890-1948), an architect and an art director in motion pictures; she was granted a divorce in July 1937. There are a pair of matches, in the 1925 and 1926 Los Angeles City Directories, for Lolita Lauri residing at 1540 North Serrano Avenue -- the same residence as Weyl. Confirming that Lolita Lauri and Irma Lois (Chase) Weyl are one in the same is a blurb in the 5 December 1927 issue of the Hollywood Daily Citizen, reporting the birth of their son, Carl Jules Weyl, Jr. (1927-2021): "Mrs. and Mrs. Carl Jules Weyl of 2060 Hightower Drive are being congratulated today on the birth of a son, born yesterday morning. Mrs. Weyl, formerly Lolita Laurie [sic], is well known in pictures." She is referred to as Lolita L. Weil [sic] in the 1950 U.S. Census. After her passing in 1958, Irma Lois Weyl was cremated and interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
