Lee (Tom) Lindsay

American police officer and sometime film actor who served as a motorcycle policeman for the Culver City Police Department. Along with some of his fellow officers, this led to some occasional acting roles within his profession in Hal Roach films, as well as (presumed) security duties. Lindsay, who was alternately known as either Lee Lindsay or Tom Lindsay (Leroy was his full first name, while Thomas was his father's name), served on the force for 35 years from 1922 to his retirement in 1957, reaching the rank of Sergeant.
