Jeanne Hart

American actress of screen, stage, and radio. Her parents were Egyptian-born Rosalie (1882-1937) and New York native James Lansing (dates unknown). In 1920, Rosalie re-married to Henry William Kuhlke (1879-1959). Jeanne performed as a dancer during her adolescent and teenage years before entering movies in the mid-1920s. In the late 1930s, she moved to New York, where she acted on stage and in radio; in the latter medium, she was known as "Jeanne of All Trades" to her fellow actors due to the many different characters she played in the CBS radio series "Americans at Work." She shortly thereafter returned to California, residing in Laguna Beach. On 29 March 1942, she married machinist Ernest Peter Geierman (1909-1984) in San Juan Capistrano, California. In 1949, they opened a seafood restaurant, The Sea Horse, in Palm Springs. Known as Hartsie Geierman, Jeanne later went into real estate.
