Dolly Rollins

born: -- October 1918 Glenwood Springs, Colorado, United States of America

died: (after January 1990) (age ?)

American child actress. Her siblings were Fred Rollins and Jeanette Rollins. Her parents were Dessie Margaret (née Karns, 1898-1964) and Charles Rollin Smith (1897-1986), the latter a club musician and actor, who married in 1916. In 1944, Dolly married Anthony Gabriel D'Amico (1917-2007); at the time, she was working as a secretary for Douglas Aircraft. They had a daughter, Jana, in 1954. Her birthdate is inferred from the 1920 U.S. Census (taken 7 January 1920), which gives her age as 1 year and 3 months; her 1944 marriage certificate provides the Glenwood Springs birthplace. Dolly's death date currently remains a mystery. Her sister Jeanette's Los Angeles Times obituary (12 January 1990) mentions an unnamed brother and sister among Jeanette's survivors; since Dolly, Jeanette, and Fred were the only three kids in their immediate family, it stands to reason Dolly was still alive as of January 1990. The 2007 L.A. Daily News obituary for her husband Anthony is sparse and only mentions his dates and services.

Real name: Dolly Grace Smith
