Al K. Hall

born: 29 May 1882
Paris,
France
died: (after 19 May 1950)

(age >62)

French-born actor and vaudevillian with a punny stage name. During 1915-16, he performed alongside Don Barclay as the featured comedians in the "Maids of America" show.
He immigrated with his family from his native France to the United States in his early youth; on his 1943 petition for naturalization, he guesstimates that his arrival was in 1886, while a pair of existing passenger lists seem to point to 1887. Al married Carrie Kupfer (b. 1889; d. after 1950), known on stage as "Dainty Carrie Cooper," on 6 December 1906 in Washington, D.C. They had three children: Al K. Hall, Jr. (Alfred Kenneth Hall, 1916-1980), Roy Edwin Hall (1924-1972), and Eileen M. Hall (m. Sundstrom, 1930-2018), all of whom followed their parents into the entertainment business; Al, Jr. also became a noted pilot, and Eileen later joined the theatrical travel agency Pickwick Travel and then became a real estate agent.
Real name: Rafeal Kahn
Height: 5'8½"
